Sr Applied Science leader
I invest most of my time researching novel AI solutions, planning, hiring, mentoring, defining strategy and establishing business value.
I have demonstrated my ability to build and manage Research and Development teams of various sizes for the past 10 years (so far up to 30 people). I have a proven ability to work effectively with people across different organizations, locations, and diverse backgrounds.

I am a Sr. Manager of Foundation Models at Zoox.
Iām currently directing a team of Engineers and Applied Scientists in the development of safety-critical Foundation Models for autonomous decision-making, from sensors to planning. We are building a family of Multi-Modal Language Action models (MLAs). I drive the strategy for architecting and training these models as well as, building massive datasets, benchmarking and more!

I was a Sr. Manager of Applied Science at Amazon. I worked on *Just Walk Out* (autonomous stores) applied science, where I got to use my technical background and strategic thinking to develop the future of physical stores. My team focused on large multi-modal models for action recognition.
I was a VP of R&D at Iris Automation Leading the R&D team in the development of sense and avoid systems for (large) industrial drones. For my contributions in Sense and Avoid using Computer Vision I was awarded the MIT Innovator Under 35 recognition in 2017.
